However sketchy business practices have forced me to give the app a three-star review (and that’s being generous).Īll the developers have to do is add a ‘skip’ button to the subscription splash page whenever it decides to pop up yet they’d rather rake in money from confused users who have been tricked and deceived. If it wasn’t for this disgusting, un-skippable subscription splash page that tricks unsuspecting users into thinking the app is no longer free, I’d happily give this app a five-star review. Just keep closing and relaunching the app) and tune your instrument. The only way to get around this highly shady practice is to completely close and relaunch the app and you should then be able to get to the tuner (though sometimes the subscription splash screen will still pop up even after closing and relaunching.
To me, this is a shameful and disgusting practice that makes one think that the tuning app is no longer free therefore tricking you into buying a needless subscription as you cannot skip past it to get to the tuner. It won’t let you past the subscription screen to get to the tuner. However one big let down is that occasionally upon opening the app I’m confronted with a “subscribe to app” screen which is completely unskipable. This app is amazing for tuning my bass and is really accurate compared to other tuning apps (I’m looking at you Fender). Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s iTunes Account Settings. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account.
